OOC Expectations

As you look through these rules you might notice that things seem somewhere between silly and serious and that's exactly what we're going for. With a lot of games with long term investments in characters and in-depth plot and story arcs, we're looking for the fun in something a bit more lighthearted.

With almost no character advancement (beyond gold/veteran status) we expect the consequences of death to be low.

With reuseabilty of mods and a safe no-fighting zone in our tavern we hope to strike a nice mix between people being able to hang out, relax and have fun in character with the high points created by doing an adventure and a quest.

We're looking to combine the IFGS ideas of a Bar Game and a Line Course into one experience.

Due to the lowered consequences of death, and the lack of a major ongoing story, we expect attendance to be not as important if players miss games, and hopefully will also run fewer games, allowing players to think of this as fun socialization rather than an ongoing commitment.

Lastly we're looking to keep things lighthearted. In a game where you can play a Were-drow Bartender our goal is for players to play whatever crazy idea strikes their fantasy, and show off their costuming and makeup, but still play their characters seriously and take one another seriously (we like to think of old Red Dragon Inn style games).
