The Illustrious Order of Sympanmancers, Chronomancers, Pylimancers and Metamancy regrets to inform you that while portals are an excellent means to access the metaverse, they are a particularly piss poor way of keeping your insides, well, inside. More than one trip can get messy in the worst ways."

"Why can so-called half-breeds go through more than one portal in an evening without splattering about? 2. An individual with Portal Resonance cannot enter another portal for the remainder of the evening
