Welcome to the Operation
Operation Sunup is a LARP based on recreating the ideas, thematics, and paranoia associated with international Espionage.
Players will take the roles of Agents, Officers and members of Strategic Command. Operation Sunup LARP (OSL) is a mixed media LARP which takes place online, at specific locations, and layered ontop of other LARPs.
OSL is a Western Style Larp where players portray characters with specific goals, and Season 1 will run from 1/1/2020 until the end of the year. Season 1 represents the recruitment and training phase of the Operation and while the stakes will be lower than future seasons, we hope to still capture many of the same thematic experiences.
OSL will separate Fieldwork from Operations, allowing players to participate physically, or just online, depending on their personal desired level of involvement. Check the getting started guide to begin.
Project Status (2024)
Season 1 ran from January 2020 but was disrupted by the pandemic, which made the in-person fieldwork component impossible. The online operations continued for a time, but the project has been on indefinite hiatus since. The Getting Started Guide is preserved as an archive of the original game design.
