A "recovered" classified document from a tabletop RPG campaign prop (circa 2007-2008).
What This Was
Honestly? I don't remember what game this was for anymore. But I went through a phase where I was obsessed with FOIA requests, declassified documents, and modern games that leveraged that aesthetic. Delta Green, Unknown Armies, conspiracy one-shots—anything that let me hand players a "recovered document" with redaction bars and classification stamps.
This is an example of that shtick. The document is styled to look like a declassified government memo, complete with handling notices, exemption codes, and the kind of bureaucratic formatting that makes fake documents feel uncomfortably real.

Enclosed with this memorandum, please find a list of potential recruits for The Assemblage. All candidates have been pre-screened and selected per the criteria established in Directive ██-7734. I have provided a diverse assortment ranging from ex-military personnel, exemplary law enforcement officers, and agents from groups as far-reaching as the FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, DOD, DEA, CDC, and others.

Should any of these agents meet your criteria, I will be holding a preliminary debrief on Monday, August 20th, 2007 at 1930 hours. The meeting will be held in Conference Room ███ at ████████████████████████. Standard security protocols apply.
I must stress again that due to the nature of The Assemblage, once assigned to this unit, these agents will have their security clearances upgraded to ██████████ level. Returning them to the general personnel pool after exposure to program materials would be inadvisable and is contrary to established security protocols per ████ guidelines.
